Smoove Jamz

10:30 am

Two residents of Tampa Bay, Smoove Jamz is a duo consisting of primary members, Jamal Hasan on saxophone, and Mwiza on vocals and guitar.

Smoove Jams brings forth an Indie sound that encapsulates Jazz, R&B, Folk, and Rock tones for an alternative resonance all their own. Their musical musings are heart-led, yet upbeat, with new twists to well-known trendy beats to quench the thirst of those who seek music with meaning that seems new, yet familiar.

Bear Lay

11:30 am

VegFest Music Sponsor

Bear Ley is a project of self expression by Louis Rubino. These indie folk tunes, often accompanied by stories told on stage, draw a line of comparison between internal struggles and experiences in the wilderness.

Al Chance

12:30 pm

Al “Chance” Cella started singing at age 14, cutting his vocal teeth on 60’s British Invasion Rock & Roll in various local rock bands in the Brooklyn, NY area. Since then he has been a professional singer and recording artist for decades. He has worked in bands, orchestras, recording studios and vocal quartets in the New York City area, but has been solo for the last 15 years.

Al will perform 60s and 70s hit songs by the greatest Crooners of those decades.

The Paper Airport

1:00 pm

So, we are just a band that’s all about bringing people together and trying to make them feel close, like family. We’re people who you can bring your problems to. People who want to feel your energy and share an experience. People who you can scream at and have scream with you and know there’s something real left in the world. We’re just trying to get something right, and maybe the more people with us, the better the odds. Oh, and we play rock music, I guess.

JDU8Z from TampaBayVegan

2:00 pm

Jonathan Dublin also known as JDU8Z is a Tampa native, born and raised. With 8+ years of songwriting, this musical artist does not box himself in when it comes to music genres. His sound and mix of different musical influences is categorized into a genre he has proclaimed as his own “Daze Music”.

The Fickle Souls

2:30 pm

Straight from the mountains of North Carolina, the now Tampa based acoustic folk/indie duo, The Fickle Souls are sure to bring a foot stomping good time. The duo consists of husband and wife, Cal (Vocals, Guitar, and “The Suitcase Drum”) and Hannah Olivier (Vocals, Ukulele, Harmonium, and Percussion).

Brian Brown

3:30 pm

Brian Brown is an instrumental guitarist from right here in Tampa. Using a style uniquely his own, he creates percussive, rhythm- and harmony-driven grooves and heady, heartfelt atmospheres that are easy to get lost in. Brian’s philosophy of music is that he doesn’t play the guitar, he and his guitar are simply conduits for the music to freely express itself.

Brian is deeply committed to animal rights advocacy. He is the executive director of Florida Animal Rights Assembly, a rights-based animal activist collective operating out of west Florida. He is also on the advisory board of Florida Voices for Animals, and has worked with many other animal advocacy organizations in capacities ranging from major event planning, public policy campaigns, community organizing, academic research, semi-undercover investigation, fundraising, and disaster relief. He is proud as both a musician and an activist to bring his music to Tampa Bay Veg Fest.
